Last night my friends and I were standing outside discussing how surprised we were that there still wasn’t snow in my area yet. I can remember having white Thanksgivings over the past few years. Of course, during the early morning hours after that conversation, some snow started falling and actually accumulating this time. When I woke up everything was covered in white.
I’m taking advantage of this event and decided to do absolutely nothing today. I slept in really late and I think the most active thing I’ve done was a load of laundry. We ate a steak dinner and are now just waiting for one of our favorite shows to come on: Shameless. My cat is sleeping in my lap and keeping warm with me, and all that I hear are the festive winter sounds of my neighbors scraping shovels along their driveways to get rid of the snow before Monday morning.

Yup, there’s the snow you were missing there! Ours came down and now it’s disappeared…oh, but it’ll be back, wretched stuff. You’re doing the right thing staying in – I like snowstorms when I don’t have to endanger myself (or others) by going anywhere. Stay safe and warm!
